“Christ for Romania” Christian Center is a non-profit organization in
Suceava, Romania, trying to reach to those in need (poor families in the
villages near the city), visiting orphanages and elders’ homes, as well as to
provide with spiritual needs such as counsel, prayer, advice and teaching
through the Bible School, Institute Courses and the “St. Andrew’s”
Church.
Like all things that grow big, CCCPRSV started out small, with
only a few people on staff and a lot of faith in God's plan for us here in
Suceava. Soon after our start in 1991, we've had an increasing number of
students attending the Bible School classes, a number which grew each year,
until 1998, when we were "forbid" by local church leaders to teach anymore.
Things worked out, in the end, and a church was soon started, just after moving
in the new building. Ever since there have been numerous things going on,
projects we've been involved into, such as visiting orphanages and poor
families, aiding them with clothes and food, summer camps for children from the
orphanages we visited, yearly youth camps, evanghelistic concerts and actions
(dramas, coffee-on-the-street and others) in which we tried to involve people
from the church. During the years, we've seen many of our own grow in the faith
and eventually set off to help in other parts of the country. We're currently
helping poor families in the villages around Suceava, in collaboration with
Dorcas Aid International, doing summer camps for the orphanage children, the
each-summer-youth-camp, and various actions such as dramas, concerts,
evanghelistic nights, conferences. We also support (financially and in prayer)
missionaries around the world (India, Afghanistan and Mozambique) and our own
people in Romania and have a good relationship with other evanghelical churches
throughout the country.
